The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) is the plastic surgery board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), which has approved medical specialty boards since 1934. Plastic surgeons must meet rigorous requirements before certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), including graduation from an accredited medical school, successful completion of residency training in plastic surgery, and must pass comprehensive written and oral examinations. The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) does not recognize any board with “cosmetic surgery” in its name, such as the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Fischer is contracted with several insurance carries including BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, and Cigna. Insurance coverage applies to medically necessary services. Call your insurance carrier to see if Dr. Fischer is an in-network provider.
Dr. Hewell is not contracted with any insurance carriers. The office will help you process claims for medically necessary services so that you can be reimbursed by your insurance carrier.
